I have worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from company-sponsored retirement plans to high-net-worth individuals and families. One of my life’s goals is to share my financial insight to help individuals achieve financial security. Financial Services are provided on a fee-only basis.
Prior to starting my financial planning and advisory practice, I began my career as a Registered Nurse, specializing in critical care. Years later, I chose to pursue a different path in accounting and furthered my education, became a CPA, and worked in a firm whose client engagements included audits, income tax preparation, and other complex accounting services for both individuals and small businesses.
Within the same accounting firm, an opportunity presented itself for me to become a financial wealth advisor. I transitioned into this position as it incorporated my accounting skills and relational skills that I had developed with my nursing career. This role helped me form trusted relationships with my clients and assist them with their financial goals and objectives. I was a wealth advisor for over a decade with the same fee-only wealth management firm before venturing and starting T Rowland Financial Services, an office of CGN Advisors, LLC.
Growing up on a family farm in rural Iowa, I loved the time spent with family and friends. However, finances were very tight for my parents and siblings, and I vowed to myself to not be in this position when I became an adult. In order to accomplish this, I followed the mantra of living within my means and saving as much as I could while enjoying my adult life.
I love my family more than anything. My husband, Paul, a surgeon, and I have been married for 38 years. Together, we have 3 adult children who are starting their own careers and families, which is very exciting and fills my heart. I really connect with my clients who are experiencing the joy of watching their families grow. If I am not spending my spare time with my family and friends, you may find me playing golf, hiking, yoga, gardening, fishing, or snowmobiling.
I am excited for the opportunity to meet and work with you!
